Aon, a leading global professional services firm, named Robert O’Connell as global cyber strategy and growth leader, executive managing director, within its Reinsurance Solutions business. O’Connell will be based in New York and report to Randy Stanco, U.S. strategic business leader for Reinsurance Solutions.

According to the press-release, in this role, O’Connell will lead the firm’s efforts to deliver transformative value to Reinsurance Solutions’ cyber clients and trading partners through its innovative risk structuring – including the utilization of insurance-linked securities (ILS) solutions – and through broader access to insurance and reinsurance and the capital markets, bespoke portfolio advisory services, and enhanced risk understanding via extensive analytics, data science and research capabilities.

“Rob’s extensive experience both in the cyber sector and risk transfer – from primary underwriting to ILS and reinsurance – brings a unique perspective. This will accelerate Aon’s cyber product development and sourcing of capital in this rapidly growing line of business. Anne Corona has been appointed CEO of Enterprise Clients and global chief commercial officer, effective 1 January 2025. According to the press-release, this appointment is part of the firm's strategy to advance its commercial capabilities by deepening commercial alignment, integration of data and analytics and service excellence globally to better service clients.

In this role, Corona will work with Aon's Enterprise Client Group leaders and regional chief commercial officers as the firm continues to evolve its next generation Aon Client Leadership strategy to deliver integrated solutions to clients to help them protect and grow their businesses.
