The unified MTPL system of the Union State is planned to be launched before October 1, 2024, as reported by the press service of the Parliamentary Assembly of the Union of Belarus and Russia following the meeting of the Parliamentary Assembly Commission on Legislation and Regulations held on November 30 in Minsk, BELTA writes.

“The meeting participants reviewed the procedure for adopting legislative acts of Belarus and Russia aimed at implementing the model legislative act “On the system of compulsory civil liability insurance of owners of vehicles of the Union State”. The model legislative act “On the system of compulsory civil liability insurance of owners of vehicles of the Union State” was adopted at the 64th session of the Parliamentary Assembly and provides for creation of a unified system of compulsory civil liability insurance of owners of vehicles of the Union State”, the press service said.

“Deputies - members of the Parliamentary Assembly Commission on Legislation and Regulations agreed on the submitted draft legal acts. The Ministry of Finance of Belarus, the Ministry of Finance of the Russian Federation, the Belarusian Bureau of Transport Insurance, and the Russian Association of Motor Insurers were asked to take measures upon completion of the procedures provided for by law for approval and introduction of the mentioned regulatory legal acts for consideration. The launch of a unified MTPL system in the Union State is planned before October 1, 2024", the press service emphasized.
