David Onoprishvili was appointed, by decree of the Georgian Government, for a new mandate of 5 years at the top of the Georgian State Insurance Supervision Service, starting February 12, 2024.

David Onoprishvili heads the State Insurance Supervision Service of Georgia since February 8, 2019. From 2012 to 2016, he was the majority deputy of the Parliament of Georgia, the chairman of the Finance and Budget Committee of the Parliament of Georgia, a member of the Health and Social Affairs Committee of the Parliament of Georgia, as well as the co-chairman of the Energy Subcommittee. Member of the Friendship Group of the Parliament of Georgia with the US Congress.

In 2004-2005, he was the general director of "Georgian Railways" LLC.
