Olav Jones, Deputy Director General Insurance Europe, has been selected as Chair of European Insurance and Occupational Pensions Authority (EIOPA)’s Insurance and Reinsurance Stakeholder Group (IRSG).

He will work closely with vice-chairs Paul Fox and Liisa Halme Vuori (she/her), and all 30 members who represent a wide range of stakeholders including consumer organizations, academia, professional associations, employees and the industry.

“Insurance is an important enabler of modern living and plays a key role in addressing some of Europe’s biggest current and future challenges, including climate change, ageing populations, and the need for massive investment. Our IRSG meetings and discussions allow us to share knowledge, increase mutual understanding of each other's views and concerns, and, based on this, provide advice and input to EIOPA,” Jones stated in a post on LinkedIn.
