TAJIKISTAN: National Bank revokes licenses from two insurers

The National Bank of Tajikistan revoked the licenses of two insurance companies - LONDON DUSHANBE and M-Polis, the regulator said.

"The Board of the National Bank approved the LONDON DUSHANBE's request for liquidation. Thus, the license for insurance activity, issued for LONDON DUSHANBE in November 2014, is considered invalid," the regulator's press service reported. Regarding M-Polis, the regulator refused to renew its license due to serious violations, revealed about the company's activities, TajikTA agency informed.

As of the end of 2018, the Tajik insurance market was represented by 19 organizations (16 non-state, 2 state and 1 center for mutual insurance support).
