TAJIKISTAN: in the first half of the year voluntary life insurance got ahead of property insurance in portfolio of TAJIKSUGURTA

From January to June 2019, 31.4% of all insurance contracts of the state insurer TAJIKSUGURTA fell on voluntary life insurance, according to the director Shukhrat MAKSUDZODA, as Sputnik reports.

At the same time, about 30% of insurance contracts fell on property insurance, over 23% on vehicle insurance and 7.5% - on accident insurance. Insurer's assignments to the state budget for the period, amounted to about USD 1.9 million, MAKSUDZODA said.

TAJIKSUGURTA is one of the two state insurers of Tajikistan. In 1Q2019, TAJIKSUGURTA ranked second on the insurance market in terms of liabilities and third in terms of assets, out of 18 participants on the Tajik insurance market.
