The Institute of Actuaries in Belgium (IA|BE) organizes the first joint colloquium of the sections of the International Association of Actuaries

11 September 2024 — Daniela GHETU

The first-ever joint conference of all sections of the International Actuarial Association (IAA) will take place between September 22- 25, 2024, organized by the Institute of Actuaries in Belgium (IA|BE), in Brussels.

The IAA brings together all national actuarial associations.  It has sections representing individual actuaries according to their areas of expertise: ASTIN for non-life, AFIR-ERM for finance and risk, IACA for consulting, IAALS for life, IAAHS for health and PBSS for pensions and social security.

This first edition of JoCo (Joint Colloquium) will bring together over 400 actuaries from 45 countries, including members of Actuaires du Monde (AdM), around a single theme: “Reconnecting actuaries”. After a period of pandemics that transformed the way actuaries work and meet, this event aims to re-establish these essential links. It also provides a platform to bring together actuaries from different fields of interest, addressing the profession's current and future challenges.
