During the official ceremony held in the NBS on 26 October, NBS Governor Jorgovanka Tabakovic and the president of the Council of experts of the Insurance Supervision Agency, Klime Poposki, signed a cooperation agreement between these two institutions. The agreement regulates cooperation and exchange of information between insurance supervisors of the two countries.

By accepting the cooperation agreement initiative of Macedonian colleagues, the NBS has once again shown its willingness to engage in regional cooperation. Given that insurance markets of the two countries face similar challenges, sharing experience and good practice is certainly significant for all future improvements of regulatory solutions and other mechanisms for the protection of citizens and legal entities - policyholders, insurance beneficiaries and third party claimants.
