Total collected GWP of 14 insurance companies, operating in the market, for the first ten months of 2023 amounted to EUR 1.4 billion, of which EUR 243.8 million (17.0%) were life premiums, and EUR 1.2 billion (83.0%) - non-life, the Croatian Financial Services Supervisory Agency (HANFA) reports.

In the structure of non-life insurance, the largest share is taken by MTPL (35.7%), followed by MoD (18.0%) and fire and natural damage insurance (9.2%).

Total paid claims in 10M2023 reached EUR 925.0 million, of which EUR 345.8 million were paid in life insurance (37.4 %), and EUR 579.2 million (62.6 %) – in non-life insurance. In the structure of non-life paid claims, the largest shares belong to MTPL (39.3%), MoD (20.6%) and fire and natural damage insurance (9.7%).
