The stock of savings reached a record at Magyar Posta (Hungarian Post) in 2015, the company announced on Monday. By the end of last year, the number of Posta Bank Accounts exceeded 50,000.

Magyar Posta said customers opened more than 50,000 bank accounts at the company by the end of 2015 and brokering of Posta Personal Loan was launched in the summer.

Of the record large nearly HUF 570 billion worth of savings at Magyar Posta, almost HUF 110 bn was managed by Magyar Posta Investment Zrt. which was founded in 2013. A total of 40,000 clients had security accounts at the end of last year and three quarters of the savings stock was in government securities.

At Magyar Posta's insurance arm (Posta Biztosito) 240,000 policies were taken out last year.  Read the full story HUNGARY's Magyar Posta reports record for 2015
