One of the leading energy and financial groups in Southeast Europe - Eurohold Bulgaria AD, owner of Euroins Insurance Group AD and the Electrohold group, said its consolidated net profit edged down to EUR 42.3 million in the first half of 2026 from EUR 42.6 million in the prior-year period, SeeNews reports.

The company's operating revenue grew 15.3% on the year to EUR 759.9 million in January-June, according to Eurohold’s financial statement.

Revenue from energy operations rose to EUR 759 million from EUR 657.8 million the prior year. The company booked a profit of EUR 1.7 million from insurance activities in the first half of 2026, down from EUR 6 million in the prior-year period. The group's expenses for energy operations increased 15.6% to EUR 615.9 million in the review period, mostly due to higher costs for purchased electricity.

It is noted that Eurohold is undergoing a restructuring aimed at focusing its business on electricity distribution, supply and trading, as well as renewable energy generation and storage. Its insurance and financial investment businesses were classified as discontinued operations at end-June pending their transfer to majority shareholder Starcom Holding.
