According to the Estonian Insurance Association (EKsL), 472,000 home insurance contracts were concluded in Estonia last year. According to Ülli Reimets, head of loss prevention department at EKsL, over 80% of Estonian homes are insured.
Last year, over 250,000 insurance cases occurred, and insurance dispute statements were submitted to the conciliation body for 505 of them. 227 statements were related to motor third party insurance and 89 – to home insurance, which is 13% more y-o-y.
