VIG Re, the reinsurance company of Vienna Insurance Group, announced that Frank REICHELT will join its Supervisory Board, effective of 20 October 2023.

A renowned veteran across the reinsurance industry sector, REICHELT brings a deep level of expertise that spans across four decades towards his new role at VIG Re. He has spent 17 years at Swiss Re, serving as CEO Swiss Re Germany since 2012 and member of Swiss Re Europe management committee since 2010. Before he worked 23 years at Frankona Rueck and Employers Re (part of GE Group), holding various leadership positions.

Who is Frank Reichelt

Frank Reichelt’ 40-year long career in the insurance and reinsurance industry in the top management and corporate bodies includes CEO of Swiss Re Germany, and leading positions at GE Insurance Solutions, Employers Re and Frankona Rueck. He also holds several external mandates such as Board Member of the German Pharmapool, Member of Supervisory Board and Chair of Advisory Board of Extremus A.G., and the Deputy Chair of German Nuclear Pool. Between 2012 and 2023, Frank Reichelt acted as chair, vicechair or member of various committees of the German Insurance Association (GDV).
