Guy Hudson first started doing business in the region in 1984 and is well known to those Insurance and Reinsurance companies operating in the area. Guy Hudson joins Ed Wodehouse and Susan Lucas who also recently joined AHJ ltd/AHJ Europe AS in order to form a new team focusing predominantly on the Central, Southern and East European region. This further enhances the existing resource and capabilities of Phillip Sims, Irina Brundrett and Martin Fall within the company.
As well as working on World Bank projects in the region Guy has also been involved in the creation of a number of MGA's and Pool solutions, notably for motor liability reinsurances.
Guy Hudson is a Fellow of the Chartered Insurance Institute and a Chartered Insurance Practitioner.
The Central and Eastern European team is a newly established team within AHJ to bring expertise and experience within Europe on reinsurance requirements, within these markets, ranging from excess of loss to proportional treaties and binding authority business. The team primarily deals with business emanating from Central Southern Europe and Eastern Europe (encompassing all areas of the former Soviet Union). It additionally covers business emanating from EEA/EU Countries other than the Nordic Countries.
Classes of business that the team has longstanding experience in include, but are not limited to: Property and Engineering, Marine (All sub-classes including Hull, P&I, Cargo (including MDSU) and Marine Liabilities), Motor (MOD and MTPL), Energy (on and offshore), Cyber, Surety, Liabilities, Retrocession, Financial Lines, Life and Personal Accident.
