Jan van den Berg new Chairman of the Supervisory Board of ACHMEA

Jan van den Berg will be appointed Chairman of the Supervisory Board of ACHMEA on 13 April 2021, the date of ACHMEA's General Meeting, as the Dutch insurance group announce in a statement.

"Mr van den Berg will succeed Aad Veenman, who will step down during the General Meeting after completing his third four-year term of appointment. The appointment has been approved by De Nederlandsche Bank".

Jan van den Berg has been a member of the Supervisory Board of ACHMEA since February 2018. He has extensive experience in executive and supervisory roles in the international insurance market having worked for NN, AXA and PRUDENTIAL. Jan van den Berg is also a member of the Supervisory Boards of ACHMEA Zorgverzekeringen NV, ACHMEA Schadeverzekeringen NV, ACHMEA Pensioen- en Levensverzekeringen NV and myTomorrows, a Dutch global healthcare company.

Aad Veenman has been a member of the Supervisory Board of ACHMEA since April 2009 and Chairman for the past four and a half years. He is also Chairman of the Supervisory Boards of ACHMEA Schadeverzekeringen NV and ACHMEA Pensioen- en Levensverzekeringen NV.
