Latvian parliament approves the nomination of Girts RUDA as Member of the FKTK Board

The Financial and Capital Market Commission (FKTK) announced Saeima - the parliament of the Republic of Latvia approved the nomination of Girts RUDA as Member of the FKTK Board.

Girts RUDA was proposed by the FKTK Chairwoman Santa PURGAILE.

Girts RUDA will take office at the FKTK on 30 March 2020 and thereby the Board of the FKTK will be composed of three members.

The candidacy of Girts RUDA was agreed by the Finance Minister and the Council of Latvijas Banka (Bank of Latvia), and his nomination for appointment was supported by the Saeima Budget and Finance (Taxation) Committee.

Girts RUDA holds Master's Degree in Business Management from Riga Business School, and Master's Degree in Law from the University of Bristol. His past professional experience is mostly related with law offices.

Currently, Girts RUDA is General Counsel at the Baltic high speed rail line AS "RB Rail". He is also a lecturer at the University of Latvia.
