Ludovic SUBRAN will be the new Chief Economist of ALLIANZ SE

Ludovic SUBRAN will become the Chief Economist of Allianz SE and take over as Head of Group Economic Research from October 1, 2019. He succeeds Michael HEISE who is retiring after 17 years at Allianz.

HEISE joined Allianz in 2002. He is an honorary professor at the Goethe-Universitat in Frankfurt am Main and has lectured at the European Business School in Oestrich-Winkel. HEISE is one of the best-known German economists, author of books on the European Monetary Union and monetary policy, and has an extensive list of publications in national and international media. He has been named "Forecaster of the Year for the German Economy" several times by German news outlet Suddeutsche Zeitung.

SUBRAN joined Allianz in 2012 as the Chief Economist of Euler Hermes. Most recently, he served as the Deputy Chief Economist of Allianz SE. Before joining Allianz, SUBRAN worked for the French Ministry of Finance, the United Nations, and the World Bank. He is also an adjunct professor of economics at HEC Business School and at Sciences Po in Paris.
