Approximately 65% ​​of all cars in Kyrgyzstan are insured, while their total number is about 1.8 million units, as Deputy Chairman of the State Insurance Organization Baktygul Abdyzhaliev noted at a meeting of the Zhogorku Kenesh Committee on Finance, Budget, Entrepreneurship, and Competition Development on May 19, 2026, according to knews.kg.

Speaking about claim payment limits, the Deputy Chairman explained that the established compensation limit is up to KGS 450,000 (~EUR 4432). However, in cases of harm to life and health, the limit does not apply, and the entire compensation amount is paid.
