PZU appointed attorney Pawel Mucha as Member of the Supervisory Board

Polish largest insurer PZU SA (Powszechny Zaklad Ubezpieczen Spolka Akcyjna) announced on 16 June 2021 the Company's Ordinary Shareholder Meeting appointed Pawel Karol Mucha as Member of the Company's Supervisory Board. "The resolution came into force upon its adoption".

It is worth mention that at the beginning of June, PZU SA announced the resignation of one Supervisory Board Member (Maciej Lopinski) and one Management Board Member (Marcin Eckert). More details here.

Attorney-at-law, graduated from the Faculty of Law and Administration at the Adam Mickiewicz University in Poznan.

From August 2015 to December 2016, he served as a Pro Bono Adviser to the President of the Republic of Poland, Andrzej Duda.

From 20 December 2016, Secretary of State in the Office of the President of the Republic of Poland. From 4 April 2017, Deputy Head of the Office of the President of the Republic of Poland. He also served as the plenipotentiary for the referendum on the draft of the new Constitution.

On 1 January 2021, he was re-appointed to the position of Pro Bono Adviser to the President of the Republic of Poland.

Since 1 January 2021, he has also been serving as an Adviser to the President of the National Bank of Poland, Adam Glapinski.

Attorney Pawel Mucha practiced law in several law firms in Poznan, Szczecin and Gryfino. He has gained experience in providing legal services to businesses, individuals and organizational units of local governments.

In 2006-2010, 2011-2014, 2014-2018 and in the current term of office, a member of the Zachodniopomorskie Regional Assembly. He served, without limitation, as Chairman of the Commission on Family Matters and was a long-term Chairman of the PiS Club of Regional Assembly Members.

Currently, he serves as Chairman of the Audit Committee of the Regional Assembly and Vice-Chairman of the Commission on Budgetary and Local Government Matters.

A social activist. In 2011-2016, he served as Treasurer of the National Board and regional coordinator for the Zachodmiopomorskie Voivodeship Branch of the President of the Republic of Poland Lech Kaczynski Memorial Social Movement.

From July 2010 to December 2016, he ran an independent legal practice. On 19 December 2016, he was entered in the list of non-practicing attorneys at the Szczecin Bar Association. An academic teacher, since 2015 he has been teaching public law and business law at the College of Public Administration in Szczecin.

Author of legal articles published in national press, legal bulletins, regional and local press and electronic media. His interests concern mainly the interpretation of law, local government matters and business law.
