Slovene re/insurance group SAVA Re announced its Supervisory Board reappointed Polona Pirs Zupancic, whose five-year term of office expires on 14 January 2023, as a member of the management board for a further term. Her new five-year term starts on 15 January 2023.

Polona Pirs ZUPANCIC holds a master's degree in economics (University of Ljubljana, Faculty of Economics, postgraduate course in actuarial science, insurance finance programme). She was employed by SAVA Re in 1999 and has been the executive director of corporate finance and controlling since 2009.

On 14 January 2018, Polona Pirs ZUPANCIC was appointed for a five-year term as member of the management board has with responsabilities for the areas of corporate finance and controlling, accounting, investor relations, and risk management.
