UZBEKISTAN: On August 1, electronic registration and issuance of compulsory insurance contracts was launched

The National Agency for Prospective Projects (NAPP) of the Republic of Uzbekistan reported that from August 1, 2024, electronic registration of insurance contracts, as well as issuance of insurance policies for four types of compulsory insurance, was launched through the portal of the Unified Information System service.e-osgo.uz, the agency's website says.

In this regard, from September 1, 2024, insurance (reinsurance) contracts for all types of insurance will be registered only through the Unified System, and insurance policies will be issued electronically through this system.

NAPP in its Unified Information System provides 4 types of compulsory insurance contracts:

- employer’s civil liability;

- carriers’ civil liability;

- civil liability for causing harm to life, health and (or) property and environment of other persons in the event of an accident at a hazardous industrial facility;

- technical capabilities for drafting compulsory construction risk insurance contracts have been created.

It is noted that these measures are being implemented by the Agency in connection with the Resolution of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan dated March 1, 2024 “On comprehensive measures for further development of the insurance services market”.
