STATISTICS:  KYRGYZSTAN, 1H2026: Top five companies generate over 63% of all premiums

In the first half of 2026, Kyrgyzstan's insurance sector generated KGS 5,553.47 million (EUR 55.71 million), which is 40.17% more y-o-y, according to data published by the Service for regulation and supervision of the financial market of Kyrgyzstan

Property insurance emerged as the largest class; its share of the market portfolio surged from 28.21% to 43.61%, with triple-digit growth rate recorded during the first half of the year. Compared to the same period last year, market shares for personal insurance and mandatory insurance declined, yet remained in the double-digit range.

Total paid claims for the half-year period rose sharply by 141.22%, reaching KGS 1,182.72 million (EUR 11.86 million). The most impressive growth in paid claims was observed in mandatory insurance.

Kyrgyzstan's insurance market remains highly concentrated, with the five largest companies generating 63.14% of the total GWP. KYRGYZSTAN insurance company leads the market in terms of GWP (KGS 866.20 million), followed by the GSO (KGS 763.22 million) and Dordoy Insurance (KGS 698.26 million).
