The number of gross insurance premiums in the first two months of this year reached 1.1 billion Leks while the number of insurance policies decreased by 47,391.
Non-life insurance fell 23.93% year on year, whereas life insurance slid 35.16% compared to the same period the previous year. Meanwhile, gross paid claims registered a sharp increase by 44.64% compared to January 2011.
