Sava Re shares rise on reports of KBC's interest in Slovenian market

Shares of Sava Re gained 4.51% over the past week on the Ljubljana Stock Exchange, amid market speculation that Belgian banking group KBC is considering a return to the Slovenian market, SeeBiz.eu wrote.

According to local media reports, KBC is reportedly interested in acquiring a stake in the Sava Re Group, provided it also obtains ownership in one of Slovenia's banks. KBC was previously a significant shareholder in NLB before exiting the Slovenian market.
