Eurasia Insurance Company has expanded its international cooperation with China by signing a memorandum of understanding with China Pacific Insurance Company (CPIC), one of the country's largest insurance groups, kapital.kz reports.

It is noted that the event signifies an important step in strengthening ties between Kazakhstan and China in the insurance and reinsurance sectors. Eurasia, the largest non-life company in the country, was chosen as China's key insurance partner in Kazakhstan.

"Major international investments, especially in strategic infrastructure projects, are impossible without reliable insurance coverage. Eurasia and China Pacific Insurance Company will jointly develop high-quality insurance solutions for Chinese businesses operating in Kazakhstan. We are ready to provide insurance coverage across a wide range of areas", said Samat Kabdolov, First Deputy Chairman of the Board of Eurasia, upon signing the memorandum.

CPIC and Eurasia intend to develop projects aimed at reinsuring Chinese business risks in Kazakhstan, as well as providing insurance coverage to private clients – Chinese citizens. Eurasia intends to offer specialized insurance products for Chinese clients covering property risks, including cargo and Motor Hull.

Eurasia is the largest non-life insurance company in Kazakhstan and Central Asia. The insurer's assets in the first half of 2026 exceeded KZT 716 billion (~EUR 1.29 billion), or 41% of the total non-life market. The company is one of Kazakhstan's largest exporters of financial services and a recognized leader in international reinsurance, the source added.
