KAZAKHSTAN: Kommesk-Omir completes rebranding and becomes Centras Life

12 May 2026 — Marina MAGNAVAL
Kommesk-Omir, a top-20 insurer in Kazakhstan, officially announced completion of its rebranding and now operates under the new name Centras Life, Forbes reports, effective March 17, 2026.

It is noted that the rebranding concludes a multi-year strategic transformation and cements the company's new identity, incorporating more than 35 years of experience and a modern approach to life insurance in Kazakhstan.

The company was founded in 1991 and is the first insurance company in independent Kazakhstan. Over the course of more than three decades, it has evolved alongside the country: in 2007, it became part of the Centras Group, updated its positioning in 2018, and from 2019 to 2025, it focused exclusively on life insurance and long-term financial solutions for individuals and businesses. In 2026, the company took the next logical step: adopting a name reflecting its affiliation with the Centras Group ecosystem and its strategic role within it. The name Centras Life emphasizes its specialization in life insurance and its focus on the long-term well-being of its clients.

Centras Life continues to specialize in accumulative and term life insurance, pension annuities, accident insurance, and corporate employee benefit programs.

"The rebranding of Centras Life isn't just a change of name. It's the logical conclusion of years of work to transform the company and integrate it into the unified Centras Group ecosystem. The new name accurately reflects what we do: helping people in Kazakhstan build long-term financial security, care for their loved ones, and consciously plan. The key remains the same: our team, values, and decades of experience remain intact. Only the name is changing, but it stands for an even stronger brand", emphasized Oleg Khanin, Chairman of the Board of Centras Life.
