29 September 2026 — Marina MAGNAVAL
The State Insurance Organization (GSO), one of the top three players in Kyrgyzstan, paid out KGS 500 million (~EUR 5.02 million) to its clients between January and September 2026, as Zakir Aidraliev, Deputy Chairman of the GSO Board, said at a press conference held at the Kabar news agency.

He noted that the organization paid out KGS 27 million in 2023, KGS 69 million in 2024, and KGS 127 million in 2025.

Aidraliev highlighted the growth in housing insurance coverage: 8% in 2023, 11% in 2024, and 24% in 2025. Currently, the figure stands at 33%, and the organization expects to increase coverage to 40% by the end of the year.

He also recalled the 2024 introduction of mandatory motor third-party liability insurance (MTPL) in Kyrgyzstan. According to Aidraliev, MTPL makes up the largest share of the company's paid claims, exceeding KGS 140.4 million, while mandatory housing insurance paid claims totaled KGS 56.5 million, with the remainder distributed across other types of insurance. Thus, the GSO's total paid claims across all LoBs reached KGS 500 million.
