Klime POPOSKI has fulfilled the role of President of the Council of Experts since 2009. When he was first appointed. Throughout the decade the Macedonian insurance market saw multiple changes on its path to reach the European standards, while the supervisory institution itself has gone through a period of institutional construction and modernization.
Klime POPOSKI graduated from the Business Administration at the State University Ss.Cyril and Methodius, Faculty of Economics, in Skopje, in 1994, and continued with postgraduation studies in the field of Monetary Economics, which he finished in 2001. In December 2006, after three years of academic research and development, he defended his PhD thesis in the field of insurance with a thorough research on The Insurance Undertakings' Role for the Capital Markets' Development. His work experience began in January 1995, when he started working as a Junior Officer for foreign exchange market transactions in Almako Bank, in Skopje. In March 1999, he began working as a Teaching Assistant for the following courses Accounting and Management Controlling at the University St. Clement Ohridski, Faculty of Tourism and Organizational Sciences, Insurance Department in Ohrid. In August 2009, he was appointed as President of the Council of Experts of the Insurance Supervision Agency of the Republic of Macedonia. His scientific research activities in the field of finance, risk management and insurance include over 30 publications distributed worldwide. Mr. POPOSKI has also given public presentations and speeches at several international insurance events
