Under the agreement, Vzajemna will distribute Groupama motor and home insurance products in Slovenia through its sales network. In turn, Groupama will offer Vzajemna's health insurance policy in Croatia through its distribution channels.
Vzajemna said the partnership represents an important step in implementing its 2025–2027 strategic guidelines, allowing the insurer to broaden its product offering in Slovenia while establishing additional distribution channels in both the Slovenian and Croatian markets.
Implementation of the agreement will begin once the necessary operational and technical requirements have been completed.
The announcement comes shortly after Vzajemna published its first half-year results since its shares began trading on the Ljubljana Stock Exchange in March 2026. In 1H2026, the insurer recorded EUR 20.3 million in gross written premiums, up by more than 16% y-o-y, while reporting a net loss of almost EUR 300,000.
According to previous unofficial information reported by Forbes Slovenia, Groupama was also among the parties interested in acquiring Vzajemna at the end of 2025.
Groupama serves around 12 million customers worldwide and employs approximately 32,000 people. The group generates annual premium income of about EUR 18.5 billion, mainly from non-life and health insurance. It has been present on the Slovenian market since 2022.
