The insurance market of Kosovo totaled EUR 86.5 million at the end of H1 2026, 3.84% more y-o-y, according to data provided by the Central Bank (CBK).

Although the Bank ceased providing results for the life insurance business in its regular statistical sheets, the June report on the financial System shows a EUR 5 million premiums volume for life insurance, meaning that the total GWP figure was actually EUR 80.2 million.

Out of the total non-life GWP, slightly more than 52% or EUR 44.2 million related to mandatory domestic MTPL; border policies accounted for GWP worth EUR 3.28 million.

Paid claims amounted to EUR 42.57 million, 1.5% up y-o-y, with the mandatory MTPL LoB generating about half of this amount.
